We’re proud to welcome Gareth Hughes as the new Head Coach of Camelot Rugby Club.
With over three decades immersed in the community game, Gareth brings a wealth of experience shaped both on the pitch as a player and on the sidelines as a coach. His journey through rugby has always been rooted in people, development, and a genuine love for the sport.
Holding an RFU Level 2 Coaching Qualification and current DBS certification, Gareth pairs strong foundations with a clear vision for the future. He’s passionate about building a true “one club” culture — connecting our youth and senior sections, and creating a pathway where players can grow, compete, and thrive.
Gareth’s approach blends insight with leadership. He looks beyond the surface, using analysis and performance data to shape sessions with purpose, helping players improve, and bringing clarity to how we play.
We’re excited for what’s ahead under Gareth’s guidance — a new chapter built on experience, ambition, and togetherness.
