After years of outstanding service to Camelot RUFC, Rich Woodard is stepping down as Director of Rugby.
Rich has been part of the fabric of the club for years. As a player, he represented Camelot with distinction, even pulling on the boots for the 1st XV and 2nd XV teams this season. One of his proudest moments was sharing the pitch in a senior game with his son, Harry.
Off the field, Rich has done just about everything. He coached Harry’s team from Minis through to Colts, before becoming Head of Mini Rugby, Head of Youth Rugby and, most recently, Director of Rugby.
What role hasn’t he done?
Straight-talking, honest and passionate about Camelot, Rich has always put the club first. As a senior player summed him up:
“He’s just a sound bloke.”
Rich is now stepping back to become a full-time supporter, following Harry’s rugby journey at Hartpury University and cheering on Emily in her netball.
Rich, thank you for everything you’ve given Camelot RUFC. Your commitment, leadership and friendship have helped shape our club, and your legacy will be felt for years to come.
Enjoy life on the sidelines… though we’re not convinced you’ll stay quiet for long!
