Camelot Rugby Club was well represented in the County Veterans side that took on Essex in an enjoyable and competitive fixture.
Six Camelot players featured in the squad: Jamie Mackenzie, John Byrne, Terry Hare, Mark Sanderson, Jamie Russell and Mark Pynert, each making a valuable contribution during the match.
Jamie Mackenzie crossed the line for one of the side’s tries in what proved to be an entertaining contest. Although the result ultimately went in Essex’s favour, the match was played in great spirit and provided an excellent afternoon of rugby.
With fine weather and strong camaraderie, it was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion and a great reflection of the veterans’ game. ☀️🏉
