Training

First Team (First XV)

Our First XV competes in the highly competitive Regional 2 Thames League, representing the pinnacle of rugby excellence at Camelot Rugby Club. Under the guidance of our professional coaching team, the first team undergoes rigorous training sessions tailored weekly to meet the specific needs of the squad. This customized approach ensures that each player is prepared to perform at their best, adapting to new strategies and honing their skills. The Clubhouse offers excellent changing facilities, hot showers, and refreshments for players after each session, providing a comfortable environment to recover and socialize. For those experiencing discomfort or injuries, we also provide physiotherapy sessions to help players recover quickly and maintain peak physical condition.

Second Team

The second team at Camelot Rugby Club plays a vital role in our competitive structure, offering a platform for players to develop and prove their abilities with the goal of progressing to the first team. Competing in a slightly lower tier, the second team maintains a high standard of play, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and tactical awareness. This team is essential for nurturing emerging talent and ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled players ready to step up when needed. Our coaching staff works closely with the second team to ensure they receive quality training and support, mirroring the professional approach of the first team.

Third (Social) Team

Our third team, known as the social team, embodies the inclusive and community-focused spirit of Camelot Rugby Club. While still engaging in competitive matches, the emphasis for the third team is on enjoying the game and fostering a sense of camaraderie among players of all skill levels. This team is ideal for those who love rugby but prefer a more relaxed and sociable approach to the sport. Whether you are a seasoned player returning to the game or someone new looking to get involved, the third team offers a welcoming and enjoyable rugby experience. Regular matches and social events ensure that the third team remains an integral and vibrant part of the club.

At Camelot Rugby Club, we pride ourselves on providing opportunities for everyone to participate in rugby, regardless of their skill level or competitive ambition. From our elite first team to our inclusive social team, there’s a place for everyone at Camelot to enjoy the sport and be part of our rugby family.
